Moving to a new place and working from home, my social life isn’t exactly on fire these days. So I’ve formed a book club of one. And, like most non-virtual book clubs, it mostly involves sitting around and drinking wine after my kids go to bed. Want to join? OK, you’re in. This month’s book is The XX Factor: How the Rise of Working Women Has Created a Far Less Equal World. Haven’t read it? No worries, we can talk about it anyway. And then drink.
Killing my entire family never seems like a really good idea, but, there is generally about one day a month when mass murder does start to seem like a viable alternative to folding everyone’s laundry. Again.
This is an update to a previous post, A Weird Little Moment of Grace. Because my blog just wouldn’t be a very thorough record of things if it didn’t include an utterly cynical revision of any past work that might once have implied some sort of divine intervention.
